작가는 1994년 프랑스 베르사이유 갤러리 DES CARRES 에서 첫 개인전을 열었으며 현재까지 8회의 개인전을 진행했습니다.
단체 활동으로는 1994년 파리 갤러리 ART PRESENT 에서의 첫그룹전을 시작으로 현재까지 유럽 및 미국등 다양한 국가에서
매해 수차례의 그룹전시에 참여하고 있다작가는 1991년부터 2019년까지 프랑스 파리에서 학업 및 작업을 하였으며 현재는 한국에서 작업 활동 중입니다.


그리다 - 혼잣말 하다
 
주체할 수 없이 찬란했던 청춘의 순간순간들, 이성과 감성들의 수많은 갈등에 대한 기억들,
어쩌면 비밀스러웠던 이야기들은 실과 바늘의 상처와 위로라는 이중적 성격을 빌려 꿰매어지고 이어져 은유적 형태로 되새겨집니다
바늘이 내어주는 상처를 실이 따라가며 위로해주고 그 행위의 반복에 의해 조각조각 모아진 기록들은 색에 묻혀 깊이 저장되며,
소심한 심성은 묻혀진 실과 바늘의 흔적을 따라 또 다시 색을 입히고 지우고 또 문지름을 반복하여 가급적 덜 드러남을 소원하며,  
그 반복속에서 우러나온 우연과 필연의 순간들을 빌어 조금은 비밀스러운 은어를 그려내고자 합니다

파도처럼 밀려 올 내일 그리고 또 내일을 살아 갈 나에게

“(..) Paint. Soliloquize. Talk to myself. (..)” – From the artist’s notes

Lee ruminates on each unbearably shining moment of her youth, memories of countless conflicts between reason and emotion, and perhaps secret stories,
which she stitches together and connects into metaphoric forms, borrowing the dual characteristics of the thread and the needle—puncture and comfort.

The recordings, gathered piece by piece through the repeated action of the thread following the wounds made by the needle,
and comforting them, are stored deep down, buried in color, while something timid repeatedly adds color, erases and rubs along the traces of the needle and thread,
hoping that the stitches will be revealed as little as possible. In this manner of repetition, the artist intends to paint a kind of secret language,
by borrowing the moments of chance and inevitability that emerge.
